Moses lives in Lokimuko village in the Napak district of Kampala. He came to Kampala with his mother because of terrible poverty in Karamoja. He lives with his mother and five siblings in a one room house made of polythen bags and used boxes for sleeping. Their father still lives in Karamoja and doesn't help with anything; it appears that he has left the family. The family survives by sweeping beans and begging in the streets. Moses longs to go to school but the family cannot afford to pay the school fees. Moses also was in a car accident in 2015 where he got a cut on his head which causes him to periodically have a fever and headache, and his family is unable to pay for the proper treatment.
