Driscolls' Doings in Ghana

Jim & Carolyn Driscoll
serving street children,  and at Haven of Hope children's home in Ghana with Every Child Ministries

        Jim & Carolyn have now been serving in Ghana for over a year and have seen God at work in so many areas of their ministry.  They have taken on the role of directing Haven of Hope, our home for street children and have been a tremendous help in that position.  Jim is also working with ECM's African staff in developing ministries to street children and overseeing construction and maintenance at Haven of Hope while acting as "Papa" to the children.  The couple are living at Haven of Hope and Carolyn is serving with the children there.  Carolyn is also a strong encouragment for the short-term missionaries who visit Ghana and for the teachers who go over to teach for a year at Haven Academy.  Many of them refer to her as their "mom" away from home.  As you can tell, life for the Driscoll's is extremely busy and never dull.

Jim and Carolyn are planning their first furlough back to the States in September, which will last for six months. Between visiting supporters and their five grown children that time will pass by quickly.  Please be praying for the Driscoll's as they prepare for this time away from Haven of Hope, pray they will be rejuvenated and have a wonderful time with family and friends, also that the work they have begun will not suffer in their absence and they can pick up where they left off on return.  We are also praying for an Interim Director to fill their role while they are on furlough.  Please join us in praying that God will bring along the right person or couple for the job.
