Your partnership with Every Child Ministries helping Ugandan orphans find "The Way Home"

Russ and Marcia Baugh come to Every Child Ministries as experienced missionaries, having already served four years in Uganda. Russ was country director for Rafiki Foundation Children's village and he and Marcia were Teaching Leaders for Bible Study Fellowship. During that time, they adopted their Ugandan son Joseph, and later to adopt two of their young grandsons. It was seeing the powerful influence of being in a real "forever" family that God used to develop a specific vision for African children, one that is very much in harmony with the way He is also leading Every Child Ministries. God has laid on the Baughs' heart a burden for African orphans and abandoned children, victimized by the AIDS epidemic. By God's power and with the help of many partnering churches and friends, the Baughs will seek to accomplish the following:
- Develop a network of African churches interested in Ugandan orphans & vulnerable children.
- Arouse the awareness of African churches to their responsibility toward orphans & mobilize church leadership training to help meet the need of the country's orphans.
- Support, network and build adequate homes for village "Grannies" in Eastern Uganda, who are already raising their orphaned grandchildren as a result of loosing parents to AIDS.
- Develop relationships with agencies to facilitate adoption of orphans into "forever" families within Uganda.
- Acquire land and build an AIDS orphan school to provide an excellent tuition-free education to the children who have been victimized by HIV AIDS in the target areas.
As you can see, the Baughs have a very big job ahead of them. In fact, it is a job that is humanly impossible. It is a God-sized job. Will you pray for them? Will you give to help them help Uganda's AIDS orphans through the Way Home project ?
