Akorfa Kudjo was rescued and reported as a missing child in 2018, and the search for her relatives began. Akorfa was 8 years old at the time, and she was found helpless and stranded in the streets. The police did everything they could to find her family, but to no avail. They broadcasted her story on television and radio in hopes that her family would respond. When no one showed up to claim her, she was transferred by the Department of Social Welfare to the Haven of Hope.
