Due to the pandemic, he was unable to join primary three (P.3) class, which meant, he has spent the whole year at home with no formal education. Jonathan dreams of becoming a pilot some day. Because of his burning desire to learn, ECM decided to purchase enough text books to keep him occupied and not left behind in education. His Father, 36 year old farmer, and his mother have 8 other children. Out of 9 children total, 4 are currently in school because they cannot afford to send all of them. Jonathan's father was involved in a motorcycle accident that affected his spinal cord and left him helpless for a very long time. He couldn't meet the needs of his family, so his wife and the children had to figure out alternative ways to put food on the table and take care of medical bill and other needs. The family is still very much in need, and Jonathan really wants to stay in school.
